Discover the 35th International Ice Sculpture Competition in Valloire! Come and admire the 20 talented ice sculptors.
You'll discover their unique and enchanting artistic creations.

This magical event will conclude on Friday, January 15, 2027, with a spectacular sound-and-light show.
The competition takes place on the Verneys plateau, facing the Galibier, 3 km from downtown Valloire.
You can park for free in the hamlet of Les Verneys or take the shuttle bus there.

PROGRAM for the 2027 edition

The competition begins on Tuesday, January 12, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
The competition ends on Friday, January 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

The competition takes place on the Verneys plateau, 3 km from Valloire.

TUESDAY, JANUARY 12:
9:00 a.m.: Start of the Ice Sculpture Contest

FROM TUESDAY, JANUARY 12, TO THURSDAY, JANUARY 14:
You can watch and cheer on the sculptors day and night.
(Please note: depending on the weather, the sculptures may be covered and therefore difficult to see during the day, mainly from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.: Introduction to ice sculpting

FRIDAY, JANUARY 15:
The sculpture site will be closed to the public from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM: Public and youth voting at the sculpture site in Les Verneys
12:00 PM: End of the contest
3:00 PM: Jury evaluation
2:00 PM–4:00 PM: Introduction to ice sculpture
5:30 PM: Awards ceremony followed by a fireworks display

• Tentative schedule; subject to change.

For this event, additional shuttle buses will run between Valloire and Les Verneys, stopping at the usual locations, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
After the show, the sculptures will remain illuminated on Friday and Saturday nights (weather permitting).
