Les chalets de la Buffaz - Hiking trail

This 6km loop takes in Les Chalets de la Buffaz and the Beaune church.

The ascent to the Chalets de la Buffaz via Beaune is an easy and pleasant hike on a sunny slope. The path progresses gently between forest and more open areas, with fine views over the valley and the Fort du Télégraphe in front, as well as the surrounding peaks such as the Aiguilles d'Arves.

Arriving at La Buffaz, you discover a small group of typical alpine chalets, still in use, in a calm, uncluttered atmosphere. The itinerary is generally even, with no particular difficulties, making it an ideal outing for enjoying both the landscape and a glimpse of pastoral life in the Maurienne.
