Balcon des Balais - Trail itinerary

This hike offers lovely views over the valley, and lets you discover life in the mountain pastures. You'll discover the different hamlets of Valloire. You'll pass by the Pont du Diable! Finally, keep your eyes peeled for marmots.

Start: Parking de la Borgé.
1/ From la Borgé, cross the road at the Saint-Bernard chapel.
2/ Go up to the start of the "Chemin des voutes" and turn left towards the forêt de l'enfer.
3/ Cross the Pont de l'Enfer and follow the hairpin path up to Les Balais.
4/ After a two-kilometre climb, leave the forest and take a balcony path.
5/ Descend this path, following signs for "Beaujournal" and then "Les Verneys".
6/ Cross the bridge before reaching the hamlet of Les Verneys and follow the road to the chairlift.
7/ Turn left after the bridge in front of the chairlift and follow the signs for "Valloire Centre".
8/ Following this path, you return to your starting point on a long downhill false flat.
