The Concours OFF puts handcrafted cargo bikes to the test in the Maurienne! Roads, trails, equipment transport and local produce: a real-life adventure designed to challenge the bikes and showcase cycling craftsmanship in a whole new way.
A major new feature for the 2026 Concours de Machines: the Concours OFF puts handcrafted cargo bikes in the spotlight!
Professional and amateur builders, as well as owners of handcrafted cargo bikes, are invited to put their bikes to the test on a specially designed route through the Maurienne.
And there’s no riding empty-handed! The cargo bikes will have a real mission: transporting some of the equipment needed to modify the bikes competing in the Concours de Machines, as well as collecting local produce from farms across the valley to supply the overnight bivouac.
Roads, trails, technical sections, loads and battery range will put the bikes’ capabilities to the test in real-life conditions, while showcasing the ingenuity and craftsmanship of those who design and build them.
Do you own a production cargo bike? You can also join the adventure with the Aventure OFF: ride the Trace and share the bivouac experience as part of this collective adventure, with no jury and no ranking.
